Decking Board Replacement and Deck Resurfacing
If your joists, beams, posts and ledger are still solid, you do not need a whole new deck. We strip the worn boards, check and protect the frame, and lay new decking for a fraction of the cost of a rebuild.

How we approach decking board replacement
A lot of decks around here have a perfectly good frame under tired boards: splintered cedar, cupped pressure-treated lumber, or early composite that faded and stained. Resurfacing keeps the structure you already paid for and replaces only the part you walk on.
The key is what happens between the old boards coming off and the new ones going on. We probe every joist and the ledger, replace or sister anything soft, add joist tape to the top of every joist so water cannot sit in the screw holes, and check spacing for the board you choose. Composite and PVC usually need joists at 16 inches or closer.
If we find the frame is failing, you hear about it before you spend money on new boards, with photos and a price for the frame repair. Most resurfacing jobs take two to four days; adding new railings adds a day or two.
